Tremco CPG has an open position for a Technical Application Specialist to ensure proper application of core product line responsibilities in accordance with company and industry guidelines by providing on-site and problem resolution assistance along with coaching / mentoring on testing and results and techniques with the ability to be heavily involved in industry organizations that help shape industry standards. This position will work in close coordination with Tremco CPG Testing Laboratory for onsite testing and assembly creation for integrated performance and thermal evaluations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Assist Technical Department by fielding calls and answering emails on an as needed basis from Distributors, Architects, Engineers, Building Officials and Contractors in providing answers and technical information related to the product in a timely manner. 
  • Conduct general and complex on-site product applications, substrate analysis using specialty equipment with the ability to interpret testing data and make recommendations based off the collected data. 
  • Attend and coordinate job site visits with customers and field sales reps to conduct and interpret product application testing to make product and installation recommendations for troubleshooting on-site variation. 
  • Ensure that head office has a copy of all correspondence relating to technical matters of relevance to Nudura and its products and all correspondence with Distributors. 
  • Work with CPG Testing Laboratory facility management for on-site testing; wall assembly creation and subject matter expert presentations to visiting customers and specifiers. 
  • Maintain documentation and correspondence of all contacts with sufficient notes as to relationship and detailed information provided. 
  • Assist in product quantity takeoffs on plans as demanded by key strategic projects and working with new distributors and corporate accounts. 
  • Coordinate drawing production as required to up-date and maintain product detail library. 
  • Collect Data for project or product specific testing, interpret results and make recommendation based off finding.  High level of understanding of testing methods/techniques for Laboratory/Field Testing. 
  • Perform and collect data from field and in-house/analytical lab specific testing to help interpret results and present a general understanding of testing methods and techniques to confirm varying compatibility. 
  • Manage R&D initiatives and coordinate with Nudura Product Management to identify new product needs. 
  • Coordinate with Technical Department and R&D team to identify needed development drawings for new product ideas and application instructions. 
  • Recommend and approve Product Line application policies within technical literature, Coordinate 3rd party testing certification/approvals. 
  • Develop and review of sales product literature, application instruction, and the maintenance and updating of field training manuals. 
  • Assist with Marcom (when requested) in the production of any Nudura Digital Media i.e., Voice overs, Instructional DVD etc. 
  • Develop and maintain Digital and Traditional Distributor Sign Off program 
  • Assist Nudura Training Department by conducting virtual and in-person training classes as required. 
  • Assist and coordinate with in-field product installation support and training as needed  
  • Actively able to train/mentor new employees. 
  • Other tasks or responsibilities as required. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Quality Control 

The Quality Manager manages the Quality Process to ensure we are effectively meeting our key business metrics and satisfying all customer product requirements. Key responsibilities include Quality, and Continuous Improvement across the entire Nudura product line. 

  • Oversee all quality related functions in the field. 
  • Work directly with Corporate, Plant Management and Customers on product quality or supply issues.  
  • Respond to and report on customer complaints – manage the root cause investigation, corrective action implementation and follow up, and the SAP quality process. 
  • Interact professionally and timely both verbally and in writing with customers and sales force. 
  • Work with Technical Department and ISO Manager to ensure Nudura’s ISO Quality systems are compliant and follow process. 
  • Create and implement a Quality Rating Score (QRS) based on in field product quality issues. 
  • Coordinate and conduct regularly scheduled meetings to review QRS for each plant   

EDUCATION  

  • High School Diploma or GED required.  
  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Construction, or similar field preferred.   

EXPERIENCE 

  • Four plus years related experience and/or training 
  • 4 + years Technical Service, Construction, Customer Service or similar experience. 
  • Experience with Tekla Software
  • Experience with Auto CAD, Work, Excel, etc. 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities. 
  • Effective team player. 
  • Self-motivated. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to travel in the North America region. 
  • Mechanical aptitude. 
  • Mentoring/Training. 
  • OHSA 10 Preferred but not required. 
  • Industry Involvement Preferred – ASTM SME.
