Job Description

“Tremco has an open position for a Technical Intern reporting to the Technical Service Manager.

The primary function of the Technical Intern is to gather all Tremco CPG (“Construction Products Group”) (which includes the businesses of Tremco CS&W, Tremco Barrier Solutions, Dryvit and Nudura) third-party testing results, reports and certifications for various CPG products and systems tested and/or listed by external laboratories or compliance agencies.  The Technical Intern will then organize all gathered current third-party test requirements and certifications by expiration dates, providing the Technical Service Department an organized digital system to track and maintain these items (referred to as a “maintenance document”).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Gather existing third-party testing results, reports, and/or certifications that reside in multiple locations, into one central digital location
  • Organize existing third-party testing results, reports, and/or certifications within the central location.  This may be within Microsoft Teams, Excel, or other digital location
  • Develop and implement a maintenance document and accompanying maintenance procedure  for use with all Tremco CPG third-party testing and certifications moving forward.  (COLA, UL, CCMC, Miami-Dade, ICC-ES, ICF, SWRI, Etc.)
  • Develop and implement a standard cadence for document review and train technical service department on maintenance practices.
  • Assist with other departmental administrative and/or clerical tasks as requested by the Technical Service Manager.  Examples include coordination of virtual training events/materials, procurement of RFI’s/quotes for future testing, assistance with third-party testing/certification inquiries, etc.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Working towards a bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university in a related field curriculum such as Construction Management, Engineering or Sciences (Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics)
  • Organized, creative, excels at problem-solving and critical thinking.
  • Self-directed and task-focused.
  • Microsoft Business Ecosystem (MS Office, TEAMS) experience preferred
