Job Summary

Primarily performs prospecting and account development activities to support the sale of roofing materials and services under the direction of a Sales Representative. 

Major Responsibilities:

  • Prospecting: Seek new customers using various methods to qualify them as potential customers.  Provide onsite roof top inspections for flat industrial commercial buildings. Through site inspections, collect customer information to write proposals.
  • Proposal Writing:  Using inspection data and pictures, prepare proposal outlining problem, solution, timeframe, and estimate.
  • Project Development:  Develop digital drawing of customer’s roof, write specifications for project, develop a budget for the job, and send project specs to Contractors for tender.  Under the guidance of the Sales Representative, meet with the customer to review project proposals and selection of Contractor.
  • Contractor Start-ups: Execute projects by meeting with the relevant parties in conjunction with the Sales Representative.  Review specifications of the project, deliver onsite product and compliance training.
  • Monitor Progress of Projects: Represent the company on the project site throughout the job and provide technical support to the Contractor.  Verify the quality of the installation and complete any documentation required.  Communicate with Customers, Sales Representatives, and Contractors as required.


  • Post-secondary degree or diploma with preference in building science, civil technology, engineering, construction technology, business or any other relevant field of study is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of sales experience is required.
  • Work experience in the construction industry is an asset, specifically experience in roofing is ideal.
  • Must possess intermediate level proficiency with MS-Office Suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated communication and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated focused on results, with the ability to work independently as well as collaborate with the team.


  • Valid driver’s license and vehicle
  • Ability to travel regularly within territory is required
