Dryvit Systems, Inc. is searching for a Quality Control Technician I in the West Warwick, RI area. The Quality Control Technician I is responsible for visual and physical inspection, sampling, testing and control of parts, products, and raw materials to conform to established specifications, applicable standards of API and the ISO 9001 Quality System.


  • Develop, implement, communicate and maintain a plant quality plan to ensure the products are manufactured in compliance with company, customer, API and ISO9001:2008 Quality System.
  • Conduct and oversee the inspection and testing of raw materials and products, both in-process and finished.
  • Provide training related to the quality processes used in the manufacturing process.
  • Provide hands-on leadership related to system improvement and problem-solving.
  • Supervise the use of various instrumentation for testing.
  • Provide feedback to plant operations personnel, product management, and Sr. Manager of Quality on all issues concerning the product.
  • Interpret drawings and specifications as needed.
  • Implement product and process improvements.
  • Preservation of Quality Control documents and daily reporting of information.
  • Provide customer support in resolving quality concerns and problems in the field working with the Quality Control Supervisor.  
  • Assist in troubleshooting machine functions and production issues as they arise.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • High School Diploma required, associate’s degree preferred.
  • 3+ years’ experience in quality control in a production/manufacturing environment with proven knowledge of measurement instruments incl. calipers, dial indicators, etc.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite


  • This position works in an environment in which safety, environmental and health concerns may demand constant attention.
  • At times, while performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to read, count, and write to accurately complete all documentation; stand and/or sit sometimes for long periods; utilize close vision to perceive small differentiations, and hand to finger dexterity for using computer and manipulation of equipment. Must be able to operate and use all necessary equipment. 
  • Performing the duties of the job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
  • This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday. The work standard workday schedule is set by the Plant Manager.
