Job Description

The PreBuck Sales Representative provides sales support to customers and assigned accounts to our PreBuck business with assistance from Sales Leadership. This position develops a deeper understanding of the sales process, products, and competitive market to provide greater technical expertise, strategically influence accounts, and become a trusted partner and advisor.

This position works remotes and covers the North Central Territory to include MO, WI, MN, IA, and ILL.   You may live in a location that allows you to travel easily within the territory. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Meets or exceeds assigned sales goals and expectations.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with existing customers.
  • Drives product specifications and project opportunities throughout assigned territory.
  • Provides service and support to assigned accounts to identify new business opportunities, penetrate the account, and drive revenue.
  • Performs market research to gain understanding of local marketplace dynamics, competitive products and landscape, customer’s industry/operations.
  • Participates in account analysis and business planning for assigned territory.
  • Participates in and observes the sales process with regional technical sales representatives and attends various sales and service calls, including training sessions and architectural seminars.
  • Attends and presents business unit products and services at industry conventions and trade shows as may be required.
  • Builds relationships with departmental resources and learns the internal network and relevant resources/channels.
  • Partners with regional Sales Representative(s) to learn and follow the standard sales process including identifying prospects, opportunities and decision-makers, opportunities to close, and closing effectively.
  • Calls and follows up with customers on a regular basis. Supplies collateral, addresses questions and ensures customer satisfaction.
  • Uses respectful, and efficient communication methods to effectively present information, train small groups, and drive customer engagement.
  • Utilizes all available technology for productivity and effective lead generation, account maintenance, sales and expense tracking, forecasting, account reviews, customer contact, presentations, etc.
  • Continuously updates knowledge of core products.
  • Performs other related duties as required, requested, or assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED with five plus years of experience in a construction related sales role
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Sales, Construction Management, or related field is preferred
  • Must have 1 year of sales experience to include significant experience closing deals and prospecting.
  • Knowledge of construction principles with direct field experience in roofing related products such as metal coping or parapet cap preferred
  • Working knowledge of construction documents including the ability to read plans and specifications
  • Communicates respectfully and responds to requests in a timely manner.
  • Writes effective and concise emails and business letters.
  • Effectively presents information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Uses the most efficient mode of communication for a specific situation.
  • Valid Driver’s license, statutory automobile insurance with reliable transportation 

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to travel extensively within assigned territory.
  • Must be well organized, self-motivated, with outstanding written and verbal communication skills 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Salesforce.com or other CRM software experience preferred
  • Suitable home office workspace to conduct work
