Job Summary

The Operations coordinator provides support to key areas of the manufacturing team, supporting managers and employees through variety of tasks related to Environment, Health and Safety, Operations and Inventory Management.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Lead in maintenance of EHS inventory (safety glasses, respirators, first aid supplies etc.)
  • Scheduling appointments for prescription safety glasses for operations
  • Review and audit of safety shoes and Cintas accounts, contracts, and inquiries
  • Assigning New Hire training modules
  • Carrying out administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, binding scanning etc.
  • Oversee supplies inventory database checking stock to determine inventory levels, placing and expediting orders for supplies when required, verifying receipt of supplies.
  • Overseeing employee timecards and approval through internal Dayforce system
  • Lead and/or support projects related to process improvements and change initiatives in area(s) of focus.
  • Leads projects based on CI initiatives pertaining to systems in place (ie: Dayforce, supplies, contracts)
  • Attend health and safety meetings.
  • Participate in training, audits and inspections.


  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Operations, or a related discipline is required
  • At least 1 year performing a similar position in a lean manufacturing operation is a strong asset
  • Knowledge of health and safety as well as environmental regulations is an asset.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills with attention to detail are important
