Job Description

Nudura Systems, Incorporated is looking for an Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) Assistant in the Columbus, Georgia area. The EPS Production Assistant is responsible for maintaining the production workflow by providing direct assistance to the EPS Operator. The primary focus of this role is to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency by following departmental processes. 


  • Operate forklift as needed to put full pallets of product in the warehouse once the product has been palletized and scanned into inventory by the EPS Machine Operator. 
  • Inspect all products and components in the EPS department, prior to moving to the production line. 
  • Inspect all finished products in EPS Department prior to moving to warehouse inventory. 
  • Loads conveyors with components for production. 
  • Unload packages off the conveyor and stack them on a pallet. 
  • Operate wrapping machine and the palletizer/ pallet jack 
  • Ensure wrapping machine supply of plastic wrap does not run out. Replace plastic rolls on the machine once the supply runs low. 
  • Maintain a neat and orderly work area 
  • Team lift boxes, by loading conveyors with components. 
  • The first round of inspection for quality of plastic and foam product. The product that does not meet quality standards, is to be separated by components and recycled accordingly.  
  • EPS is to be separated from plastic and placed in compactors to be recycled. 
  • Plastic is evaluated, if bad, it will be recycled and granulated back into production, if good, it is placed into the silo. 
  • The product that is not recyclable is to be placed in the waste bin and taken to a landfill.  
  • Identifies and records any problems relating to the product, process, and quality system.  
  • Cross-trains on other production positions to provide assistance as business need dictates. 
  • Performs other related duties as required, requested, or assigned. 


  • High School diploma or GED equivalent, required. 
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or plant preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license and forklift operator’s license is preferred. 


  • This position works in an environment in which safety, environmental and health concerns may demand constant attention.  
  • The facility environment can reach extreme heat and cold with no HVAC system to moderate in the changing seasons. 
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to read/comprehend written and oral instructions in English, including safety rules, operating procedures, product specifications, material identification, and write to accurately complete all documentation. 
  • Alessio machines are above the minimum but below the maximum decimal level, earplugs are available. 
  • Must be able to operate and use all necessary equipment (i.e. Forklift)  
  • Must be able to sit, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, climb, squat, reach, grab, pull, push and lift items that can weigh from 25-50 pounds.  
  • Performing the duties of the job, the employee is frequently exposed to both the production floor which may contain fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud with constant interruptions and frequent discussions/conversations with staff regarding schedules and needs. 
  • This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday. The standard workday schedule is set by the Plant Manager with two shift options (day and evening).  
  • The job may require overtime due to seasonal demands at the request of the Plant Manager.
