Job Summary

Through the leadership of the product and technical team and in conjunction with R&D, product management and sales, the incumbent is responsible to identify business opportunities that maximize revenue for individual products and product lines in Canada for Tremco Roofing & Building Maintenance. This role is key in shaping the future vision of the product portfolio in Canada, working closely with cross-functional leaders to ensure that our products and services meet the needs of our customers, ensuring our products are differentiated in the industry, and supporting business and financial growth objectives.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Directly lead a team of product and technical professionals in Canada and influence the Field Analysis, Specification, Codes and Approvals functions.
  • Oversee the field support for individual Product Management initiatives, including product/system training, fact-finding/trouble shooting of field issues, disseminating information on product issues, providing technical documentation, and compliance with all safety standards.
  • Responsible for gathering field intelligence required to manage customer satisfaction by ensuring proper communication of job site conditions, trends in product, project, applicator, etc. to appropriate parties.
  • Responsible for developing and implementing Sales & Marketing plans consistent with our growth strategy and stated “value proposition” including sustainability initiatives.  This includes meeting financial performance targets.
  • Provide Canadian marketplace expertise for product development efforts and act as the technical resource and liaison to Tremco Legal Department.
  • In partnership with Manufacturing, Inventory Management, Sales and Customer Service, monitor production, capacity, and scheduling, as it relates to sales trend analysis and adjust accordingly to maximize product line profitability. 
  • Facilitate a decision-making process that integrates appropriate Technical, Sales, Manufacturing and R&D input, ensuring all relevant parties are informed of the status of resolution efforts.
  • Continually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen relationships.
  • Provide specification templates and drawings that support product/system guidelines provided by the Product Managers and that are in support of sales initiatives.


  • Our ideal candidate brings a thorough understanding of the Canadian commercial construction industry and marketplace.  Experience in the roofing industry is a strong asset.
  • At least 5 years of similar progressive experience, leading product and technical professionals in a sales organization is essential. 
  • Proven ability to learn product characteristics, physical properties, technical performance, specification compliance, and application processes of roofing products is required.
  • Proven experience explaining/teaching the benefits of various product lines is key, along with exceptional collaboration skills with an ability to influence and lead large cross-functional teams.
  • Fluency in French is a strong asset.
