Director of Operations - Tremco Toronto Facility

Job Summary

The Director of Operations is responsible for the development and deployment of strategic initiatives for the CPG Tremco Toronto Facility.  With the support of a leadership team, the incumbent is responsible for working collaboratively with sales and distribution to meet business plans.  He/she will coach, mentor and manage a team of senior operations managers.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Toronto facility in developing and executing on the growth strategy for CPG/CSW & Roofing
  • Ensure the facility is compliant with applicable regulatory requirements (government certifications, ISO RPM policies)
  • Create and execute on strategies to optimize manufacturing efficiencies, including automating aspects of operations.
  • Collaborating with leadership team to build an environment of collective responsibility and accountability.
  • Ensure key performance objectives are communicated effectively and are met to meet business expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with at least 10 years of similar experience is required.  Experience leading multiple plants across North America is a strong asset.
  • Experience collaborating with sales and distribution.
  • Continuous Improvement focused with working in a lean manufacturing environment.
  • Experience helping a manufacturing organization articulate future needs and automate processes is required.
  • Proficient operational, financial, and external environmental awareness is a must.
  • Performance-oriented with exceptional people skills is a must.
